Align energetically and subconsciously for positive change...
mind, body, spirit, and soul.
mind, body, spirit, and soul.
Something I hear often is what little time there seems to be for daily meditation. Well, what if I told you it is possible to benefit from even five to ten minutes of focus and breath? Yes, you can! Even a short meditation or visualization time will help you focus on positive attributes or explore your spiritual side in as little as five minutes.
Why practice meditation or visualization?
Our subconscious mind agrees with everything we think or say. If you think or say something often enough, your mind will not only build a path to it, but eventually it will stop and build a whole monument! Our mind is powerful, but we do not have to be at its mercy, nor be its victim. Meditation and visualization helps us take advantage of this aspect of the mind. These are effective tools for exploring our inner landscape or emphasizing the positive thoughts and feelings that eventually bring about positive reality.
What is the difference between meditation and visualization?
Meditation is about quieting the mind while allowing our body to relax and calm. It develops our ability to focus. Visualization is about using all of our senses (including feelings) to imagine a desired outcome or guide us to a particular state of mind. Practicing meditation helps us visualize more clearly and consistently for longer periods of time. The better our focus and the more vivid our visualization, the better our results. And, don't give up too soon. Consider how long you have been talking or thinking about what you don't want. Practice and consistency on what you do want is what gets results.
Would you like to begin?
Practice the beginning and ending suggestions below and add your own visualization or meditation in between.
Find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted. Sit comfortably with your back supported and your head balanced easily over your shoulders. You can close your eyes or focus on an object in front of you like a candle flame or a spot on the wall. Bring your awareness to the center of your head behind your eyes and below your crown...the middle of your mind. Take your seat there. Gently feel your breath moving in and out through your nose. Notice all the tension in your body draining into the floor as your body relaxes with each breath. Now you're ready...(add your own visualization or meditation here.)
When you are finished, feel your feet on the floor, put both hands over your heart and center yourself. Feel gratitude, and go about your day a lighter and brighter you!
Light and Love for your journey,
